Zeppelin LZ86 L39
The remains of Zeppelin LZ86 L39 which crashed vertically in Compiegne on a wall separating two gardens, 17 March 1917
First flight : 11 December 1916
Class : R
Two reconnaissance missions around the North Sea; one attack on England dropping 300 kg bombs, and on return destroyed by French flak near Compiègne on 17 March 1917. All crew was killed in the crash.
